When left to their own devices people have the potential to change the world. Look at what Einstein accomplished tucked away in a patent office. In our own world, street skating wouldn't be what it is today without Rodney Mullen locking himself away in his barn for years and years. And one can't help but wonder what manner of skate madness 17-year old Pedro Barros will come up with holed away in his private skate compound on the remote island of Florianopolis, Brazil. With a massive cement bowl and a proper vert ramp and mini on his property, at a very young age Pedro has already mastered transition skating. The runs he puts together in contests are like no others ever done; padless back to back 540s in the middle of flawless runs in cement bowls were incomprehensible until Pedro dropped in on the scene. There's always going to be guys that take skating a little farther but very few can make it leap to places beyond our imagination; Pedro is that guy for this generation.
